Sidekick 3 Spare Battery Charger

Since the Sidekick 3 and newer models, the battery can be easily removed and replaced.

This is great news because the Sidekick 3 has a charging issue that crops up after awhile. It will just not charge the battery. If you are under warranty, great! Send it in and get it fixed. If not, buy an extra battery and a external charger cradle. It will set you back about 40 dollars but it that is a lot better than the 100+ it will cost to fix it!

This also works for the SIdekick ID charging issues as well.

Just make sure you power down your Sidekick 3 before removing the battery. This make sure all the data is stored to the flash memory. If you do remove the battery while the unit is on, it will cause a hard reset and you will have to wait for your data to download again!

Sidekick Spare Batteries

When looking at a cradle, make sure it says it has a spare battery charger. Some of the Sidekick Charging cradles don't. If eBay is out of the right cradle, look for this one on Amazon. The cradle is also a good fit for the Sidekick ID batteries as well!
